Singapore is a Southeast Asian island country located on the southern end of the Malay Peninsula. It’s sunny and tropical, with the population consisting of mostly Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian peoples. The Clarke Quay Shopping Mall is a mall in Singapore that has a wide selection of things to do and restaurants to eat at. There are rides such as the G-X5 Extreme Swing which lets five people at a time free-fall 40 meters over the Singapore River in a large swing. There’s also The Xperience, which has a roller-skating rink and a pop-up cafe. There’s a spa called Natureland Spa Therapy. In addition to this, there’s a K.Star Karaoke and various bars such as RedTail Bar by Zouk that offer drinks and a live DJ. 

The mall houses many restaurants offering cuisine from various cultures. Notable ones include East Treasure Chinese Restaurant, the Grand Konak Turkish and Lebanese Cuisine, the Hanjip Korean Grill House, and BBQ Box Prime that has Chinese and barbecue food. This mall is bound to have a restaurant to fit any craving!

Universal Studios Singapore has hotels, attractions, restaurants, and shops. The park offers multiple places to stay, with different room types such as standard hotel rooms, regular suites, ocean suites that have an underwater view with a jacuzzi above, villas, lofts, and luxury hotel rooms. 

The park has many attractions, such as an aquarium, waterpark, Dolphin Island—an educational experience that allows customers to learn about and either snorkel with, observe, swim with, or pet dolphins—and tons of rides. There are six zones for at the park: Hollywood—which has a Walk of Fame and movie set designs—New York—which is designed to look like the streets of NYC—Sci-Fi City—which has futuristic rides—Ancient Egypt with curse-ridden rides, The Lost World which is the Jurassic Park section, and Far Far Away which is where the fairytale kingdom and castle is located. 

There are also many places to eat, with restaurants of various cuisines such as Japanese, Western, Halal, Asian, and more. Shops include jewelry and designer stores such as Coach and Michael Kors, a 7-Eleven, an international skincare store, and Hershey’s Chocolate World. cloud forest

Cloud Forest is a lush indoor forest with waterfalls, plants from all over the world, and exotic plant species. Tickets to experience the forest cost $32 per adult for non-residents and $18 for children ages 3-12. The forest offers views of the Marina Bay waterfront and harvests carnivorous plants such as Venus Flytraps. 

The forest is 1.5 times the regular size of a football field and the indoor waterfall is 35 meters tall. The forest has multiple sections: the Cloud Forest Theatre, Cloud Forest Gallery, Orchid Haven, Secret Garden, Tree Top Walk, Crystal Mountain, The Cavern, Waterfall View, Cloud Walk, and Lost World. The atmosphere is peaceful, and visitors can take their time strolling through the stunning plant displays and seeing the unique vegetation.  

The forest is warm and humid on the inside, with an average temperature of 73 degrees Fahrenheit and a humidity of 80%-90%. If you can withstand the humidity, the gorgeous views are worth a visit!

singapore botanic gardens

Singapore Botanic Gardens were established in 1859 and are 82 hectares. It has various entrances with multiple different gardens. The Tanglin Entrance offers a botany center, swan lake, a gazebo called the Bandstand, a heritage museum, and the Vanda Miss Joaquim which is Singapore’s national flower. The Tyersall Entrance has a ginger garden, a national orchid garden, the Learning Forest, and more. 

In the Gallop Entrance, there’s the botanical art gallery, a forest discovery center, COMO Adventure Grove which is a nature course set up for children to discover nature through play, and the Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge, which is a clear path through endangered tree species such as Spike Oak and Braided Chestnut. 

The Nassim Entrance houses the E H J Corner House, a rain forest, the Palm Valley and Symphony Lake, and three gardens: the Evolution, Healing, and Fragrant gardens. Lastly, the Bukit Timah Entrance has the Eco-Garden and Eco-Lake, the Seed Bank, and three additional gardens: the Foliage, Ethnobotany, and Jacob Ballas Children’s gardens. In addition to this, the gardens house sculptures and heritage trees. It’s the perfect place to go to if you want to connect with nature!

haw par villa theme park

Haw Par Villa Theme Park is a park that houses museums, exhibitions, trails and tours, shops, restaurants, and educational programs. Hell’s Musuem is located there, which is a museum designed to give visitors a better understanding of the world’s major belief systems and insight on Haw Par Villa’s 10 Courts of Hell. A new museum called the Rise of Asia museum will be opening soon, which allows visitors to learn about the Asian economic giants: China, Japan, and India, as well as South Korea and its K-Pop scene. 

Tours are given through the theme park where visitors learn about the family that built the park, and concepts of the afterlife in different cultures. Haw Par Villa features over 1,000 sculptures telling tales from Chinese literature and of folklore, legends, and history. Tours also give visitors exclusive access to Hell’s Museum at night. 

There are a couple of places to shop and eat at. The Visitor’s Center sells merchandise, snacks, and drinks. The Sixth Milestone is a bistro and cafe by the gorgeous Pagoda Pond that serves snacks, beer, and more. Lastly, there’s the Art Journey Cafe and Studio, serving food such as sandwiches and cake, as well as coffee. The space is decorated with vibrant art. Sentosa Island is an island resort in Singapore with beaches and tons of attractions. Attractions include the beaches, Adventure Cove waterpark, Dolphin Island, and the Fort Siloso Skywalk which offers gorgeous views of the resort. Multiple events are also held there, with past events including Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience and the 2024 Singapore Yatching Festival.  

In addition to this, there are spas and various shops. Shops include Jasons The Gourmet Grocer, Sentosa Shop which has gifts and souvenirs, multiple luxury shops such as Bvlgari and Chanel, The Music Suite which teaches children how to play musical instruments, and a wine shop. There are also many places to eat, from food trucks and food courts to cafes and fine dining.
